Next week, the students will be taking a tour of the campus looking for signs of weathering, erosion, and deposition. To make sure the classes fully understood each of the processes, the groups competed against each other in a justification game. Each group was given sixteen scenarios and they had to decide which process it best represented. If the group did not agree, they would have to justify their answers, and finally vote. It was a challenging game that demanded listening skills, communication, and collaboration. They are ready for next week!

The students will become civil engineers this quarter as they survey the campus to identify effects of weathering, erosion, and deposition. This week, the students were introduced to these concepts to build their scientific knowledge.
