This week the students will begin to learn about the properties of sound waves. The vocabulary in this unit that will be covered is waves, crest, trough, medium, wavelength, frequency, amplitude, and resting position. They began by diagraming wavelength models to understand the basic properties. Finally, the students were able to draw their own wavelengths based on specific criteria. For example, students were to draw a wavelength with high frequency, low frequency, high or large amplitude, and low amplitude.
