The students completed their tessellations project this week. There is an entire wall of completed projects in the STEM Lab, and it looks amazing! The tessellations demand precision and patience, and the students were up to the task!

A tessellation is a repeated pattern that fits together without overlapping, and without spaces. Before the students began designing and creating their tile, they reviewed transformations in geometry. Reflection, translation, and rotation. The class also discussed lines, angles, polygons, congruent figures, parallel lines, and vertex. It was a great review! |
