A tessellation is a repeated pattern that fits together without overlapping, and without spaces. Before the students began designing and creating their tile, they reviewed transformations in geometry. Reflection, translation, and rotation. The class also discussed lines, angles, polygons, congruent figures, parallel lines, and vertex. It was a great review!
